US Chimney, Experts in Chimney Code Inspection and Compliance
In 2003 a major new release of the Fire and Safety National
Standards Building Codes became effective. This huge undertaking
came to be in part in response due to serious
incompatibility/safety issues integrating new HVAC technology
and building materials with older heating/ventilation chimney
system components still found in most homes today.
Residential property homeowners having recently upgraded their
Oil/Gas Heating and or Hot Water Systems or having made an Oil
to Gas (O2G)
or Gas to Oil (G2O) Conversion need to take special notice ….that their
existing chimney lining/ventilation system when connected to
these new components remain up to code.
All US Chimney field technicians have undergone extensive
training in this area and have the expertise needed to evaluate,
assess and remedy chimney fire and safety code violations under
the new 2003 RESIDENTIAL CODE of NEW YORK STATE as well as it’s
counterpart in NEW JERSEY.
